Day 23: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Almost finished! Just two more manicures to go! Today was OPI Day 23: OPI -  Gift Cards for Everyone! from the Ulta Holiday 2012 exclusives.

It's a pretty royal purple that has bits of ice blue micro shimmer placed in it.

Sorry it was a busy day and unfortunately wasn't able to get photos in till after 3pm. Light was not that great.

Day 22: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Getting close to the end! Today was OPI Yodel Me on My Cell and e.l.f. Chic Confetti.

Yodel Me on My Cell is a bright aqua blue with micro shimmer. My favorite from the Swiss collection. Chic Confetti is a multi-glitter.

This is the second e.l.f. glitter I've used this challenge. It stank so badly just like the last one. So crappy.

Day 21: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

I've got a pretty one for you today! It's from Revlon and called Whimsical. It's a baby blue with bits of pink & blue hex glitter, and a iridescent glitter.

It is very sheer. I used Eyeko Pastel as a base color and then two coats of Whimsical.

It's a fairly accurate dupe of Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air. I'm all about saving a little money on polish. But I love Deborah Lippmann polishes and have gotten a few of them. This was a quick little manicure today. It's a skittles of China Glaze Mrs. Clause and Mistletoe Kisses. These came out in a Holiday collection in 2010. This is the best photo I had again. Low light makes things blurry. :(

Hello again! Today I have for you a really neat glitter polish! It's from Ulta and it's called Fashionably Late. It's a black base with red glitter and red hex glitter.

Very pretty I think! I used three coats.

While I didn't get behind in the manicures... I did get behind on posting the photos! Today was OPI Designer De Better from last year's Muppets collection.

It's a silver foil with these interesting orange/bronze flecks.

Hello! Today box number 16 has provided China Glaze Love Marilyn. A pretty red glitter with and silver hex glitter. I used e.l.f. Cherry Bomb as a base color and then two coats of Love Marilyn. Poor lighting again today. :(

Well, go figure the day I have this it's raining and dark outside. :( It's China Glaze He's Going in Circles. I used three coats and no top coat. It's very pretty!

Hello Hello!

Today was another mini polish from the Holiday OPI Ulta set. This is Last Minute Shopper. A really bold red shimmer that leans pink. In the bottle it looked not special. On the nails not too bad! It really glowed.

Day 13: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

 Day 13 and I are still going strong! I unfortunately don't post these right in the morning, but I manage to get it done before I go to bed.

Today the color was Orly - Ingenue. This came out the last holiday season. It's a really pretty sparkly duochrome. The color is usually a purple, but it shifts to a golden and pink color too.

Here you can see the pink and gold the most.

Day 12: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Today I have a quick post for you! I opened up box number 12 and inside was this little gem. It's called Skip the Gift Wrap. It's from an OPI Holiday mini set exclusive to Ulta. I picked it up during  an Ulta's Black Friday sale where I paid $7.50 for the set. Otherwise, I probably would of passed on it. Which would of been a shame since this color is so pretty. From my understanding they are now selling the full size versions.

Here is Skip the Gift Wrap in the sun. It's such a pretty jewel tone green.

The shimmer was so pretty. I loved this shade on my fingers kept steeling looks at my nails all day. Don't you love when that happens!

Day 11: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Hello! I'm still sick. Don't worry my kitty Mauer is taking care of me. <3 p="p">

So today I have OPI - Goldeneye. This polish has the most interesting finish I have ever seen. It's a very yellow-gold polish that is micro flaked. When you look up close it looks like little shards of gold glass.

It's stunning!

Day 10: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Hello Day 10. My cold is kicking me down really good. I'm still keeping up with my challenge though!

Today I have OPI Live and Let Die as my manicure. It is a very dark forest green with bits of gold micro flakes. I used two coats.  Application was fine, but I hate the OPI prowides brush.

Day 9: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Here we are on Day 9. A nasty cold has taken over my body. I'll just have to keep on going. Can't miss a day!

Out of box number 9 came essence Dopey. From a Snow White LE. It's a pretty lavender color with bits of silver glitter. Very dainty and I love it!

I went to Ikea today with my mom. Gave me an opportunity to check out make-up storage ideas. Found the wider and short Alex. Eventually I'll get this in black and replace my nightstand with it. Finally can have all my make-up in one spot soon.

Day 8: Nail Polish Advent Calendar

Day 8 brings a snowy color. Of course we have no snow in Chicago and ironically today it rained off and on

It's ManGlaze Mayonnaise! It's matte but I unfortunately put top coat on it because I was in a hurry. This is much prettier matte. I used three coats.

I went downtown today with my mom. We stopped at the Chicago Christkindlmarket first. I love going, but it is so crowded on the weekends that it's hard to see everything. Plus with the rain we had to move on to the cover of Macy's. I'll go again next week sometime on a weeknight.

Overall the Christmas Market is really nice. Pretty similar to the ones in Germany. Most of the items you find in Germany you can get here. It's just a lot pricier. Lots of great food and they even have the chocolate covered fruit. Yum!

I love the intricate Schwibboge. This one retails for $269 but it's so beautiful!
