Something Different Sunday: What's in My Purse and a Nail Polish Haul

I always find it interesting to see what people have in the purse. So while cleaning mine out today I decided to take some pictures for a what's in my bag post. Below is what it looked like when I dumped it out.

So lately I've been using a brown leather Coach wristlet as my wallet/purse. Works well because I can throw it into my backpack when I need to travel to work or dog walking. You can click the picture to see it larger.

1. Ticket for zone 40 & 41 that I can validate for 24 hours travel.
2. My month public transit pass for most of the Zurich city network.
3. My US drivers license that I basically carrying around for identity purposes since I don't really drive here.
4. Store loyalty card for COOP. COOP is the grocery store I shop at 90% of the time. You can collect points for things.
5. I call them stickers, but the Swiss-Germans call them Merkli. It's like promotion vouchers. Anyways. Basically, you get 1 merkli for every 10 CHF you spend. Then you put 30 merciless on a card that gives you a discount on whatever promotion they have going on. Right now it's knives and some Pyrex.
6. 100 Franc Bill
7. Ticket to extend 1-2 zones. I went out for dinner Friday and the place was out of our usual zone.
8. Had to purchase this last night because I was traveling on public transport after 1am. It's a lively 5CHF surcharge. Plus, after 12:30am nothing runs directly to my apartment so I had to walk 20 minutes home.
9. Müller is like a Walgreen's or CVS in the states. I got some polish for myself and a friend.  A hand creme and face wipes too.
10. 2 Franc coin
11. 1 Franc coins
12. 50 cent Franc coins
13. Paperclip
14. 20 cent Franc coins
15. 10 cent Franc coins
16. 5 cent Franc pieces. These are the most annoying. They collect like pennies.
17. Not even my house key. lol Key to the apartment where I am dog walking.
18. 50 Franc Bill

Saturday was a shopping day for me!

I got the Essence Holographic Collection when I went to Müller. Along with a new hand cream and face wipes.

Friday night I was at the "mall" came across some new to me polishes at Globus. I ended going back on Saturday for a few more. The Moda ones are from a Turkish company and the neon orange and black with holo glitter are from a Swiss company. I love the suedes from Moda they wear really well!

The goal for the week is to post more! Sorry I kind of fell off the deep end. Just stressed with stuff.

I've Been A Bad Girl

For a few reasons. I kind of been neglecting the blog a bit. One month vacation in the US followed  by a two week vacation in Germany kind of slowed things down. I've been back home for about two days now but I'm still battling a cold and my one ear still hasn't popped from the flight. Ugh... I ran out of things to try and I think I just need to let it resolve on it's own. But it's making me nervous that I will have to go to the doctor.

The main reason why I'm a bad girl? The amount of polish I have acquired in the last two weeks. Going to Berlin meant I had access to Kiko! I also was able to get some more P2 and a few other brands. Along with polish waiting in the mailbox. Then on my first day back in Zurich the essence and Catrice display both had clearance items.

First up the Kiko!

241, 255, 247, 267, 237, 232
Followed by P2
Divine, Stormy, Artful
Then essence...
Green Grass, I'm A Berliner, Berlin Story

Pieces! Zurich has a Pieces store, but I haven't seen the polish there either. But going to check again this week.
Plum Gum, Soul Petrol, Candy Dandy
Manhattan

110D & 78T

Rival de Loop is a company I'm not really familiar with but the gold shimmer in these really drew me in.
51 & 50
Cult Nails order was waiting for me in the mail box the night we got home! I'm so pleased with these polishes. Plus Maria and Juan were really helpful when I needed to change the shipping address. Cult Nails ships internationally and I recommend that you check out the website.

Quench, Living Water, Iconic
These are the polish I picked up on Clearance. They are all being discontinued so check out your displays before they are gone!

Something Different Sunday - Make-Up Spam

On Friday my mom and I drove to Milwaukee to check out the mall. This particular mall has a Sephora store. I spent a while in there checking out the new stuff. When eventually I was at the clearance display and found this wonderful kit from Bare Minerals called Shimmer & Shine marked down to $45. I have been looking at this set for the few months online trying to decide if I really liked it or not. But when I opened it up at Sephora to check out the products I had to have it.

It's a really nice set of four eyeshadows (Shimmer (frosted cappuccino), Flicker (burnished violet), High Shine Gold Medal (pale gold), and High Shine Vapor (graphite)) Along with a black eyeliner, Full Tapered Blush & Eye Brush, two large lip glosses Sprinkles (diamond shimmer) & Twist (tulip pink), Clear Radiance All-Over Face Color, and Pink Petal Blush. The blush is not shown because it's really pink and thus I passed it on to my mom since I don't wear blush.

Besides the blush, I love all the colors and products in this set and can't wait to mess around with it a bit. I love the two full sized lipsticks especially Twist the tulip pink color.

I also added to my Urban Decay eye pencil collection. Well, I'm new to Urban Decay eye pencils because I just got my first two about a week ago. They had a medium sized Urban Decay pencils in a little set of two for $15. So my mom and I each got one with different colors. Then we switched our colors in the set and I ended up with Stash and Rockstar. Then Friday I added to the collection the full sized version of 1999. I love all three of these! They just glide right on an last forever! I really want the anniversary set which contains 15 full sized eye pencils and sharpener for $92. The upfront cost is expensive but if you calculate it's only $6 a pencil far less than the usual price of $17. I'm going to start hinting this set to my husband and mom for a birthday gift. hehe

Rockstar, Stash, 1999

I've also started using the sample size of Too Faced Shadow Insurance that I've had hidden away for months. It's really making a difference in keeping my shadows on. So here are a few EOTD I've worn.

Lots of New Nail Polish

First up is an asos.com order from the beginning of October when they had a huge sale on nail polish. Unfortunately A SOSdoesn't ship nail polish to Switzerland. But lovely Sara from the Daily Polish offered to forward the package to me!

Essie Pink Parka, Mint Candy Apple, Bermuda Shorts, Mink Muffs -- OPI Flower-to-Flower
Kate
This was quite the sale when you consider that Essie and OPI are much more expensive in the UK versus the US. All the Essie's were about $3.20 a piece! The OPI was about $4.80. The asos paint was $1.60

Next up, our a few polishes that I bought from Squared Nails blog sale. I took the opportunity to knock off some items on my wish list.
Orly - Purple Pleather, Viridian Vinyl, Iron Butterfly
Zoya Adina & NXY Jungle
She also added two extras for me.
H&M Fashionista & Check Me Out
She was also kind enough to forward a TransDesign order for me. I've been seeing the China Glaze and OPI holiday collections and there were colors I couldn't miss out on.
OPI - The Show Must Go On, Tease-y Does It!, Ali's Big Break
China Glaze - Jolly Holly, Sugar Plums, Mrs. Claus, Party Hearty, Mistletoe Kisses
Creative -Wildfire (The same shade as the Shellac, I had)
Then today while I was out and about I finally found the alessandro magnetic polishes in stock. I ended up purchasing Queen Berry. It's a really awesome product and with a little practice really easy to use. Unfortunately it's incredibly expensive and the most I've ever spent on one bottle of polish. Must never do that again.
A sneak peek.

Nail Mail!

Today was a great mail day! I got two packages. One was my order from Eyeko and the other was from a swap I did with Squared Nails.

I sent her some Catrice nail polish since they're only sold in Europe and she sent me the China Glaze Awakening Collection. It's a Halloween collection and I was worried that since I moved here I wouldn't be able to get it. So thank you!!

Mummy May I, Zombie Zest, Ick-a-bod-y

She also surprised me with three polishes from the Vintage Vixen Collection. She is too kind!!

First Class Ticket, Goin' My Way, Midnight Mission
From Eyeko I purchased three polishes. I'm really excited to try these out.

Cosmic, Military, Pastel
Anyone else expecting nail mail soon!?

I went shopping...

No nail pictures today. I had an impromptu trip downtown today and by the time I got home it was too dark for pictures. I had a very enjoyable time. It's really easy to get around Zurich so I was just hopping on and off trams all over the place.

My main goal was to find a display of the essence's new trend collection. I really wanted to get Absolutely Stylish which is a grown with green glitter mixed in it. I found it along with two more polish from alessandro.

alessandro - Dusty Purple, essence - Absolutely Stylish, alessandro - Green Genie
The color is a little off. Sorry, but you will see the true color on my nails soon. I also made a stop to Lush. A store that I never went to when I lived in the states, but now living here has become my favorite store! Over a week ago I purchased Lemony Flutter a really nice cuticle cream that has been really helping with my dry cuticles. And today I bought a massage bar called Wiccy Magic Muscles. It's meant to help soothe sore muscles and has a nice aromatherapy scent. Needless to say my body is super sore and I've been waking up super achy.

Wiccy Magic Muscles Bar
The final thing I did out today was going to the Art Museum. They have free entries on Wednesday and you also get an audio guide. It's a great deal if you ask me! I really enjoy walking around museums and sitting on the benches looking at the paintings. Hope everyone had a nice day too. I'm off to finish my nails.

My Models Own Haul

Many of you probably knew that Models Own had a 50% off sale for a week after they reached 10,000 fans on Facebook. I was really excited for this sale as it made the purchase of this polish a lot more affordable. I might not be able to get my hands on Models Own for a while now due to the high shipping costs, but at least I got my hands on 13 polishes from them.

Here is a picture of my haul! I surprisingly picked some colors that I usually don't go for. Notably the neons and glitters.

Top: Green Grass, Lime Green, Emerald City, Top Turquoise, Slate Green, Blue Sparkle, Bluebelle
Bottom: Purple Haze, Magenta Divine, Turkish Delight, Orange Sorbet, Orangeade, Pink Explosion
I'm most excited for the neon glitters Orange and Pink Explosion. I also really excited to use Turkish Delight as it really was the surprise of my order.

My NOTD was a choice I left up to Chris and he picked Emerald City. It's an emerald glitter in a
clear base. It leans turquoise more then emerald most of the time. It took four coats for opaqueness but it was worth it. It catches the light beautifully.

This next photo is a picture using flash. Totally shows how turquoise it really is inside.

Thanks for taking a look! Stay tuned the next few days for some more Models Own!
